Bhuj is a perfect starting point to visit the Rann of Kutch. It was founded in the year 1510 by a local ruler Maharao Hamir. The town had a prosperous and vivacious history. This town has got one huge lake named "Hamirsar" and several small lakes. It has one big lake named Hamirsar and several small lakes. It has got his name from the fortress called Bhuia that overlooks the city.

Day 1: ARRIVAL BHUJ

Meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives welcome you and escort you to your car. Later you will be taken to visit:

Aina Mahal: Aina Mahal, also known as "Palace of Mirrors" is surrounded by a small and courtyard which carry weapons built in the 18th century, which is located in the old part of the city. It is one of the important tourist spot. This site also houses a museum within it. The important parts of this palace are the "Hall of Mirrors" and the "Pleasure Pool".

Sarad Bagh Palace: This palace was the residence for the king's right up to1991. Later, when the last King of Kutch died, the palace was converted into museum. This palace is also a resting point for the migrating birds as this palace has a wide range of beautiful gardens along with many flowering and medicinal plants.

Later in the afternoon, we will proceed to our short excursion tour of Bhuj visiting "Mata No Madh":

Mata No Madh: Mata No Madh is a place located at a distance of about 94.7 km, which is famous for Ashapura Mata Temple. This temple is dedicated to the goddess of Jadejas, the former rulers of Kutch. This temple was knock down by earthquake in 1819. This temple was believed to be 1200 years old. Later, Sunderji Saudagar constructed a new temple in its place with distinctive architectural expositions of size and space.
Later in the evening, we will return back to Bhuj.
